Dear Founder, Founding president and Chairman of the Central Committee, Presidents,
Environmental Practitioners, Members, Young environmentalists and friends. I wish you all a happy new year, good health and good luck in the Year of the Rabbit in 2023!

Unknowingly, it has been 3 years since the COVID-19. During these 3 years, too many things have happened, including touching, sad, tears, laughter and so on. I believe that the epidemic in the past three years has given you a lot of insights, and so have I: the epidemic has taught me the fragility of life, the value of health, and the importance of families, so I must learn to be grateful and cherish the present.

Stepping into 2023, the epidemic has passed, and people's livelihood and economy are slowly returning to normal. As the president of the Shanghai and Suzhou Chapter, I am planning the development of this year's affairs, including strengthening the recruitment of more professionals from the two places to join the society. And set up a party branch in Shanghai under the name of "Hong Kong Institute of Environmentalists (Shanghai/Suzhou Chapter) so that our grassroots environmental protection work can be promoted more effectively.

Looking forward to the future, as a social organization of an environmental protection
professional society, we need to keep in touch with the government, learn more
environmental protection-related policies, and assist members in implementing the policies.

At the same time, continue to promote environmental protection knowledge, in line with the national carbon reduction and sustainable development goals.
