About Us

The Hong Kong Institute of Environmentalists (HKIOE) is a non-profit organization and an environmental and professional association of Hong Kong established on April 12, 2010 with the aim of gathering the power of environmental professionals to make contributions to Hong Kong environmental conservation and sustainable development. Dr. Ho Chung Ming is the founder and founding president of HKIOE. Notably, he named the professional title of "Environmentalist" and established competency standards. Also, he is an Honorary Fellow of the Society of Environmental Engineers (SEE) and the President of the Hong Kong Chapter, who leads our institute to set up chapters in Hong Kong as well as other areas.

Since establishment, we have many members from business sectors and academic institutions. Actually, members could not only broaden their knowledge, but also enrich themselves to achieve improvement in their field of work.
